If you’re reading this, that means you’re on my very short list of people who will give me honest feedback but won’t hurt my feelings, and for that I am very thankful.

I recently turned 30 and have been pondering how to get out of the “stuck” feeling. I won’t call it a quarter (third?) life crisis, but it’s something close to that. The last 3 or so months have been me coming to terms with the fact that my fears of both risk and rejection are largely the culprits of the stuck crisis. As the wise Moneybagg Yo once said, it really is “me vs me”.

Weekly Reccos + Stuff

• Vintage stink: I’m on my seasonal thrift bender and this detergent + good ole white vinegar in the fabric softener spot on the washing machine are the only things that reliably get the thrift stink out.

• Cheesehead: Tillamook medium cheddar cheese. That’s it, that’s the rec. I could identify TMC in a blind taste test amongst the strongest competitors. Store brand will not suffice in this scenario.

• A career pivot for Joe (not that one): A kid from stranger things wrote a song and it’s….. really good?

Starring? Her. No i’m not kidding. In fact, she was so sure the world needed to her this story that, when other funding fell through, she dished out $20 MILLION DOLLARS. As you could have guessed, her bids to be relatable are not working in her favor. If I spent that much money on a movie about myself, you wouldn’t be able to waterboard that information out of me.

Munchies

• Channeling my inner Brit for tea time this week with these Lavender Earl Grey Cookies

• Making sweet potato black bean chili one more time before it gets too warm to warrant cozy soup. For extra protein (cannot leave gains on the table) cook up some ground turkey and add it in step 2.

• Handfuls of mini m&ms (the minis are better and available in a BAG in the candy aisle)
