Rat's Nest Week 20
a crispy coca cola to cure all ailments
✨Welcome to Rat’s Nest✨ - a weekly newsletter with product recs, recipes, funnies and more to peruse on your midday break
Enjoy!!!!
Time machine- IT’S BACK. In case you don’t still have your crusty Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette from 2009 that you saved your first paycheck for- Urban Decay has temporarily brought back the OG Naked palette *swoon*
Book recco- Educated by Tara Westover is an absolute emotional roller coaster of a memoir. Tara tells the story of leaving her survivalist/bonkers family and going on to get a PhD, despite not having any formal education until she was 17.
Spooky season- Halloween themed quarter socks I couldn’t resist
🚬 do not under any circumstances agree to this
Me tryna to convince my friends to smoke a cig w me outside

I have decided not to dunk on Raygun because I too am a mid-30s white millennial woman who has made catastrophic mistakes

In case you missed it- Raygun is an Australian “break dancer” who competed in the Olympics and had some…. interesting moves.
Youtube Short showing you her bonkers dancing here. I only wish to one day have the delusional confidence that my dancing (which is not far off from hers) will get me into the Olympics.
McDonald's is selling you nostalgia with 6 new collectible cups- if you see me going through the drive thru 6 times this week, mind your own business. I NEED the beanie baby one.
The CDC dropped new IUD insertion guidelines that include recommending pain management for insertion- which is about 50 years too late but at least it’s finally happened.
Olympic swimmers are drinking Coke to stave off Seine bacteria- no, i did not make this up. It’s a real headline. Turns out drinking a Coke might help reduce your risk of e.coli after possible exposure. Wish I knew that when I was in the Dominican Republic a few years ago (I got e.coli and had baby’s first emergency room visit).
Snack attack-some (mostly) healthy snacks- if you have a kid I think these are also perfect for lunches:
Made Good Strawberry Crispy Rice Squares (these are also at some Whole Foods, they have freeze dried strawberries on top)
Signing off with Famous Amos cookies as a little treat,
Kate
P.S. If you enjoyed this, send it to a friend. If you didn’t, send it to the Dutch team that dethroned our women’s water polo team for the first time since it became an Olympic sport.
