Rat's Nest Week 18

I warned you last week that I am an Olympic fan girl through and THROUGH. Every 4 years I spend nearly 3 weeks being an all sports super fan (i also self loathe about the fact that I am not an Olympian).

Also- lots of you guys have been sharing Rat’s Nest with your friends lately so just wanted to say an extra thank you here :-)

• Money on the line- Did you know that some countries pay out serious cash for athletes who bring home gold?

• 0/10, lots of notes- how about some dumb sh*t i’ve tried that i highly do not recommend:

  • Natural deodorant (all kinds)- Consider this my public apology to anybody I have come in contact with over the last 3 years. I know i’m a smelly bitch, and I shouldn’t have ever strayed from Degree Ultra

  • Castor oil hair treatments- Look, i’m sure this works great if you do it right- but apparently i didn’t. The way i approached it was that more is more and it ended in me leaving dinner halfway through to go wash my hair an additional 2 times to get all of the oil out.

  • Jarlic (jarred garlic)- just get a garlic press.

Flavor Flav is my person of the week- why Sir Flavor Flav, you ask?

One of the players from the 3x gold medal champ USA Women’s Water Polo team made an instagram post, talking about how a lot of the players on the team work 2-3 jobs, in addition to training, to keep their Olympic dream alive.

Mr. Flav saw this and commented “AYYY YOOO,,, as a girl dad and supporter of all women’s sports — imma personally sponsor you my girl,,, whatever you need. And imma sponsor the whole team. My manager is in touch with your agent and imma use all my relationships and resources to help all y’all even more. That’s a FLAVOR FLAV promise.”

And HE ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THROUGH! And signed a contract to sponsor them for the next 5 years!! Legendary. He’s been a hype man for them and it’s the most wholesome thing. I could talk about this for hours but i’ll leave it here (for now).
