Rat's Nest Week 34

Hey Rats!!

I co-taught my first Cycle Fusion class at the YMCA last week and nearly died from embarrassment.

“Omg Kate why!”

Because #1: it’s a brand new class at 6:30 PM and only two people came. One was my boyfriend, who insisted on taking a first-day-at-school style photo (only for it to be BLURRY and for me to look like A THUMB) and

#2- the Y gave me a headset mic (yes, like 2000s Britney Spears)

Unrelated, but I need to change this background color- it looks like store-brand chicken broth??

• Gluten-free & dairy-free: but don’t let that scare you off from this chicken sausage and kale soup for when you want good soup but don’t want to work that hard (i recommend only using ~half of a can of coconut milk)

• After 4 week of rigorous testing (carrying with my pinky finger up 4 flights of stairs, dropping on the gym floor, throwing in my purse, etc), this cup has been 100% SPILL FREE! Other pros include being fairly light, easy to clean, and under $20. Demo below 😌✨

• Timothee Chalamet (i will not use the accented letters) hosted SNL on Saturday and it was a banger _{(not sold on his music performance though, sorry)}

• Jam of the week- Denial is a River by Doechii. Specifically the music video because it’s super creative and great music videos are a lost art!!

• 💌 The USPS is coming out with Spongebob AND Goodnight Moon stickers this year!! Bring snail mail back!!

• 🪵 Is it wood or is it cake? Artist Joyce Lin sculpts bonkers cool art out of wood

• 🥣 I legitimately thought this was an April Fool’s situation, but Progresso came out with soup drops. Apparently they were so popular they SOLD OUT and will be restocked on Thursday. They sound disgusting but also… do I try them??????

• 📖 If you're one of the few who can still read cursive (i know you guys cant write it), the National Archives needs your help transcribing historical docs

• 🎬 The 2025 Sundance Film festival started last week- 10 Sundance films to know about here (the Zodiac killer one looks wild- not for me though, I don’t watch or listen to anything crime-related 🐓)

• 🍔 I am trying so hard not to be a hater right now, but you can’t tell me that Melania wasn’t doing Hamburglar cosplay at the inauguration last week
